When you have a vision of how you want your home to look, it can be daunting to make that vision come to life.
But in this post, I’m sharing some DIYs that will help you look outside the box and reenvision things you may already have.
And hopefully, remove that feeling of overwhelm to achieve the goal of a beautiful handmade home.

DIY #1 – Chalk paint
The first DIY on the list are chalk paint makeovers.

DIY #2 – Using Dictionary Paper
Another good ole’ DIY is using paper.
I share a compilation of DIYs using dictionary paper here.
I discovered some sweet dictionary pieces at a boutique shop that caught my eye.
They were quite expensive.
It started the wheels in my mind to churn on how to recreate similar decor pieces using dictionary paper.
And I’m excited to share a few of them with you.

The dictionary paper rose is one of my favorites.

It is the sweetest DIY that is fun to make.
But the impact of putting a whimsical paper rose in a bouquet of flowers is unexpected and not something you see very often.
I use these paper roses every year.
They keep beautifully throughout the years when put away.
A really fun DIY made from dictionary paper that I think you’d enjoy making.
Another paper DIY is this gorgeous paper wreath.
I made this one for Christmas.
But you could use this for any season.
It’s a fun paper DIY that is worth making at least once in your life.
It has a vintage look to it with the print of words from a dictionary.

Talking about a good ole’ DIY.
I have more wreath ideas below that are so beautiful and add a simple touch to your home.
As I’ve said before, if all you add is a wreath to your front door, it is all you need to transition throughout the seasons.
DIY #3 – Wreaths
Talking about wreaths, this is another DIY that not only is gorgeous but super easy.
The wreath above was made from a barrel ring.

A wreath brightens up a space, whether on the porch, over the fireplace, or anywhere you need a little cheer.

The Christmas wreath below is another all-time favorite.
I’m adding it to this compilation of wreaths since this could be made into a spring, fall, or winter wreath.
Instead of using a pine branch wreath as a base, you could use a eucalyptus wreath and add the same plates.
Change out the ribbon for a more spring or summer feel.
The ideas are endless.
