Incredible Vintage Thrift Finds I Love in Our Seattle Home

I’m so excited to share with you some of our incredible vintage thrift finds I love in our Seattle home.
These pieces were found at Goodwill or on Craiglist.
I love the nostalgic feel of old antiques. Do you?
The patina of old antique furniture is unrivaled.
It has taken some time to find the right pieces to fit into various places in our home.
But with some patience and determination, I have found some amazing finds.
The first find I want to share with you is this blue chair that sits in our breakfast nook just off of our kitchen.

Everyone enjoys this sweet little chair.
Including our beloved cats Chanel and Winston. See photos below.
But most of all, it is the perfect chair for my husband and son to put on their shoes to go to work.
Or when my dad comes over, he likes to rest and snooze for a minute or two.
That’s when you know you have found the right piece of furniture when your family sits in it all the time.

The moment I saw it at Goodwill, I knew this was perfect for this little corner of my kitchen breakfast nook.
I was gathering things for my breakfast nook makeover, and this fit all the criteria.
Plus, it was $14.99.
Now, that is a deal, don’t you think?
I love the antique wood arms and legs.

The fabric is a beautiful blue that perfectly matches the blues in my home.
Not to mention how perfect it goes with my new rug. I bought the rug, here, for under $63.00!
Now that’s a deal!
And it’s new.
I love this rug.
It’s held up to high traffic.
The rug I’m showing you is 5’1″ x 7’6″.

These next finds have taken me some time to collect.

They are my blue transferware and white ironstone.
I fell in love with Pfalzgraff and Currier & Ives dishes.
They are the right combination to go together plus they are just beautiful all on their own.
I love the chunky white Pfalzgraff look.
The vintage look of them appeals to the vintage woman in me.
Not to mention my Currier and Ives collection that is unique and has the perfect blue.
They are sturdy dishes.
Not delicate like some others I’ve found that I tend not to use for that reason.
The large collection of cups and saucers I’ve collected over the years have been beautiful additions to decorate different areas of my home.
I place them on a corner of a shelf or dresser, like in the photo below.
It’s so pretty and adds vintage charm.

Over the years I’ve found a cup and saucer here and there at Goodwill.
Which was a pleasant surprise each time!
But it was a few months ago that I came across both on the same day.
Not just one or two but a whole bunch.
In my most recent YouTube video, I share these thrift finds and more. Check it out!
My husband lovingly put up a plate shelf for me to display my beloved dishes.
He loves helping me with my endeavors when he can.
This was the most amazing addition to my breakfast nook makeover.
It’s so much fun to style it in different ways to show off my collection of thrifted dishes.

Yes, everything on this plate shelf is from a thrift store.
I’m still pinching myself.
Cause when I tell you it comes from the thrift store I’m talking about cheap prices.
I use to pay $20 or more for things on Etsy or Ebay.
But when the pandemic came upon us all, I started going to Goodwill.
When I found that large Pfalzgraff coffee pot on top of the shelf for $9.99, I just about passed out.
I know it sells for way more than that.
So, the addiction started!
Here is a link to an old video sharing some of the things I mentioned above. Plus, it is so much fun just to see what amazing things I found during that time! So amazing.
Now, let me share another amazing thrift find.
Putting up a gallery wall, in itself is the easy part.
But brainstorming what frames to use and what prints to put inside the frames can take some time.
Investing in thrifted frames has saved me a ton of money.
I went to Goodwill several years ago with hopes of finding frames.
And boy did I score!
There were massive big ones that I needed for my staircase gallery wall.

I put together a vintage horse theme with gentlemen from the 1600s and 1800s.

This has been my most loved vintage wall gallery ever!
I added a metal galvanized farmhouse clock.

Here is another view from last year.

I love the ornate fireplace chalkboard frame with its exquisite details against the beautiful prints behind it.

In another post, I share how to makeover a Goodwill frame, here.
Now for the next thrift store find.
Repurposing this thrifted shelf and jewelry box to use in our guest bathroom was a great find!

My husband and son like to use our downstairs guest bathroom to quickly brush their teeth before going to work.
It was getting a bit messy since there was no place to put their things.
So, I went on a search at Goodwill and found the shelf and jewelry box on the same day and envisioned placing them together to make one piece.
I paid $7.99 each.
Not to mention that they fit perfectly between the sink and wall.
And the bottom drawers open up easily over the sink.
I love when good ideas work out better than imagined.

Taking a white pitcher, I placed it in the open area.
I found it on that same day at Goodwill for $3.99.
I placed some gorgeous white peonies inside. Link to the exact flowers.
My son says he loves it.

The jewelry box is lined with black velvet.
Which he says makes it feel fancy.
These pieces are not antiques but have that vintage vibe with the beautiful wood that I love.
These were amazing finds!
Another vintage find I love in our Seattle home is this antique dresser.

It is gorgeous!
I love the swirly lines of the oak wood.
The drawers are dovetailed and sturdy.
Not to mention the gorgeous framed mirror.
I had been wanting this particular kind of dresser with the curved drawers in the front and gold vintage handles.

We have a huge walk in closet with room for a dresser inside.
I wanted something that was beautiful to look at but also functional.
Finally, this came up for sale for $100.00.

It was found on Craigslist. Another amazing place to find treasures.
I borrowed my son’s huge pickup truck and drove in the evening to pick it up.
It was even more amazing in person than I imagined.
This was a great find.
I hope you were inspired to shop at your local thrift store or online on Craigslist.
You will be amazed at the treasures you find.
If you find something you’re over the moon for, I’d love for you to share below.
