As I post unique DIYs and decor ideas, I hope to encourage you that it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to make your home beautiful.
You can have the home of your dreams with some work doing a DIY project and searching for high end vintage inspired finds at thrift stores.
And not just any kind of home.
But a home that is magazine-worthy without the huge price tag.
Now, that is something to strive for.
At Victorian Lane Farms, I hope it becomes the place you come to find inexpensive ideas.

Each time I bring home new treasures from Goodwill or other local thrift stores, it adds to the beauty of my home.
Like this stack of frames used on our staircase wall.
I climbed a huge ladder and bravely hung some large frames to create a gallery wall along the stairs.
The ladder was meant for stairs, which made it easier.
But still, it was a challenge.
I love how it turned out.

This porch makeover was so unique because I used the color burgundy.

I am not surprised that this blog post hit the top 10 list.
Along with the YouTube video that got over 14K views, this blog post hit 24K views.
It was controversial at times because it’s an antique.
But it’s one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my Victorian Farmhouse-styled home.
As you can see, it has a Victorian look with chippy white paint, like the farmhouse style.

This blog post had a slow start.
It took off several months ago when a YouTube video went viral sharing the steps to add casters to a wingback chair.
And it is still watched daily.
What I love about this DIY is how I came about this idea.
I share a movie that inspired me.
I roll like that.
Sometimes, I will pause a movie just to look at the decor.
This idea was playing in my mind for a while until I decided to take a wingback chair I painted with chalk paint and add casters to the legs.
It is such a cozy office chair.

I’m not surprised this made the top 10 blog posts for 2023.
The ideas shared are true today and a wonderful comparison of the Victorian woman of the 1900s to the modern woman in 2023 and beyond.
