Easy Thrifted Decor Refresh for the Living Room

Sharing an easy thrifted decor refresh for the living room.
I’ve been doing a series of blog posts going from room to room as I’ve added some pretty amazing thrift store finds.
I decorated a hutch.

And yes, most of the pieces on this hutch are thrifted.

Then I decorated my bedroom.

It turned out so pretty!

Today, I’m doing an easy thrifted decor refresh for the living room.
Here is what this space in my living room looked like before.

While this area was beautiful, adding the new thrifted finds gave it a fresh new look for the summer.
The first step I took was to add this vase.

Because of the large mirror, there needed to be something that had an equal wow factor.
And this vase seemed like the perfect piece.
It is rather large and has a presence to it.
I added some blue hydrangeas and white lilacs.
Several months ago, I was fortunate to have found this vase for $16.50 at the Children’s Hospital Thrift Store Boutique in Redmond, WA.
It is definitely a statement piece!
Alongside the vase, I put a rustic pedestal tray.

It was a Goodwill find for $12.99.

Here is a full video sharing the thrifted finds from Goodwill. I style these finds in my home and show you how.
I have seen pieces like this for $50 or more at expensive boutiques.
So, this made me ecstatic to find this beautiful tray.
On top is a transparent glass plate.
I turned the plate upside down to give this small white dish more height.

I think it raised it just enough to be easily seen.
Adding a third element by putting a gravy bowl and platter in the front was a perfect finishing touch.

Decorating in odd numbers is the best practice when grouping things together.
Like I did here when adding this gravy bowl to the front.
If you want to read more about decorating in odd numbers, I explain this in more detail in this post.
This area is now completed.

I added a pretty Johnson Brothers Neapolitan flow blue creamer and a gravy bowl to a dresser, which added to the overall look.

They were there before.
I love how they go perfectly with the oval platters on the wall, which are the same design.
The grandest addition was this gorgeous cake stand that has that sparkly bling!

It is like jewelry wherever I place it in my home.
I just about leaped out of my skin when I saw it at Goodwill for $19.99.
And talk about substantial.
It is an extremely heavy piece.

Here is this area all finished!

This space in my living room has a bright and cheery look!
The summer vibes are ready for the hot days ahead.

And the sparkle of the cake stand was a needed addition to give this space a bit of glamour!

I love the overall look.
These simple additions to this area made a big impact.
And all with thrifted finds!
How amazing is that?
There was no moving furniture or doing a huge makeover!
I love these simple additions for an easy decor refresh.
