Putting floral arrangements around my home is a delight!
I love every part.
From picking them out at the store to putting them together at home.
And then the magic happens.
Once I display them throughout my home, the spaces come alive.
In this post, I am taking you through the steps on how I arrange flowers for fall.

It’s so easy, and it’s my secret way.
Well, maybe it’s not a secret.
It’s a formula I use over and over again.
And I thought I’d share this formula with you!
If it helps you the next time, you’re at the store putting a floral arrangement together. Then that makes my heart so happy.
So let’s get started!
Here is what you will need:
- A vessel

Some vessel ideas are:
- Vase
- Pitcher and Bowl (as pictured above) or Amazon find here.
- Mason Jar
- Teapot
- Water pitcher
Other things you will need are:
- Main Flower (similar)
- 2 to 4 Secondary florals – Orange and Yellow Paper & Berry Bush
- 2 Greenery stems

Now for the steps.
Step One: Pick out a vessel.

The pitcher and bowl set I’m using for this tutorial was a thrift store find. I bought it for $12.00. Isn’t it beautiful?
The yellow flowers on the front of the pitcher and inside the bowl are a perfect fall color for this floral arrangement. I love it!
Tip: Keep an eye out throughout the year when thrifting for seasonal ironstone.
The different colors of red or green for Christmas. Yellows, orange, and brown for fall.
And pinks and pastel colors for spring and summer.
It will make moments like this (when decorating) that much more special when using old vintage ironstone or transferware for seasonal floral arrangements.
Step Two: Have one to two main flowers and put them in first.

Now for Step Three: Add the secondary flowers to the sides.

Step Four: Add greenery to the back.

Was that easy or what?

Here is the fall floral arrangement in my living room.
I added a brown feather on the side later to give it some whimsy!
Here are some other floral arrangements I put together using the same steps.

The only difference is there are other things I added to the sides to give them pizazz!
Side Fall floral ideas:
Can I tell you how amazing the cotton stems are?
I split up the pack of 6 cotton stems and put them in various bouquets.

Like this one above in our guest bathroom.
Let me not forget to share the idea of putting toilet paper on a galvanized scale.

Tip: For the greenery, you can use leaves, as I did with this floral arrangement above.
I’m linking the exact leaves I used here.
I share how I put this arrangement together in a video on YouTube.
Plus, an extra added holiday idea of adding tiny little battery lights inside the vase! Click the link below to watch how I did that!
