How to Decorate a Bedroom with Goodwill Finds
In this post, I’m sharing how to decorate a bedroom with Goodwill finds.
Recently, I came across some beautiful home decor from Goodwill.
Before I entered the store, I had some idea what I was looking for.
Doing this has saved me a ton of money.
I bypass all the other things.
And do you know what I focus on when looking for Goodwill finds?
Antiques and vintage-inspired pieces.
While my type of decorating may differ from yours.
You can do this with any style.
Focus on the specific style you want for your home when looking for Goodwill finds.
It can be a color scheme or a pattern that you love.
You can spot these things easily when you go into a thrift store.
And that’s what I did when decorating our bedroom.
My inspiration was a duvet and sham set.
I knew the color scheme was pink roses.
And I wanted some romantic pieces to add to that vintage charm.
So, I came across a clock, a candelabra, rose-patterned plates, a platter, and a pitcher.
I will show you the rose plates and platter below.
To complete the look, I took one of the shams to Hobby Lobby to find matching flowers.
Who knew there were so many shades of pink?
But I found the perfect pink tone that matches the sham perfectly.
To see how I style this bedroom step by step, you can watch it on YouTube.
For the nightstand, I started with a blank slate.
I added a lamp I found at Goodwill.
Then, a bouquet of flowers inside a pitcher.
Also, a Goodwill find from years ago.
I added the clock and candelabra.
On the wall, I placed a green wooden panel found at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
I placed a beautiful little saucer with pretty pink roses, like the duvet, on the green panel.
Using medium Command velcro strips, I placed one on the back of the little saucer and two on the larger plate I put on the wall under the green panel.
As seen below.
Here are some photos showing it finished.
Would you have guessed these things were mainly found at Goodwill?
There were splurges when it came to the duvet and shams.
And that large white lumbar pillow was a luxury purchase.
But overall, most of these finds were from Goodwill.
Let me take you to the other side of the room.
I found the pink floral oval platter at Goodwill, as well, for $7.99.
I placed this on a large green oval mirror.
This is my little lounge area with a grey French chair and ottoman.
I really like how the pink flowers on the platter go with the pink on the floral pillow in the chair.
And the little bouquet of flowers on the side table.
It brings it all together.
And then, on the antique vanity, I have the Bee pitcher I found at Goodwill.
The flowers were what I had stashed in my floral bin in storage.
It all just came together to create a romantic getaway.
And I love how it turned out.
I hope this was an inspiration on how to decorate a bedroom with Goodwill finds.
