An easy way to organize seasonal home decorations.

Today I’m sharing an easy way to organize seasonal home decorations.
I know this comes early.
Talking about putting Christmas things away before Christmas is early.
But for some reason, I’m already thinking about it and want to share with you an easy way I organize my seasonal decorations.
What I use to organize my seasonal home decorations are these really big bags from Amazon.
I have them color coordinated to the season.
Like red for Christmas. (Photos below are links.)
Navy blue for Fall.
Light colored for Spring and Summer.
So, when I’m looking in my attic for my seasonal decorations, I immediately know which bag it’s in by it’s color.
My sweet husband’s man cave is our garage.
He loves things tidy, and in there he is the boss of what goes in and out.
I’ve had those blue plastic tubs with lids stuffed with my decorations. They were all bunched up together, it was so hard to know what was where.
If I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I’d go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby to find more seasonal decorations and stuff more in the attic.
Finally, my husband and I said enough.
He pulled all my tubs out and opened every single lid.
I spent several days on a weekend pulling everything out, one by one.
You’ve probably heard of the saying, if you don’t love it get rid of it.
That’s what I did with this organization of my decorations.
I only kept the things I love.
Normally, it was drudgery for my husband to pull out all the Christmas stuff.
He would procrastinate and wait until the last minute to climb up in the attic to get it.
This time, I didn’t need his help. I had one bag, full of Christmas decorations. I pulled it down, and had all of my beloved, beautiful Christmas decorations that sparked joy. Nothing was in there that didn’t bring joy.
What a breeze to decorate my tree and home this year.
I’m anticipating the same experience for the other seasons.
Right now, Christmas will be here in three days.
I’m already anticipating putting all my Christmas décor away to start fresh.
For this, I will put away anything that is Christmas related.
I’ve loved decorating with red and green for Christmas this year.
My home definitely has that magical nostalgic Christmas feel.
Here is my Fall bag I use to hold all my Fall décor.

I placed all of my favorite fall decorations in there.

As you can see this bag is huge. It holds all of my bigger pumpkins as well.
For each of the bags I put a brown package label in the clear pocket to organize by season.

The other bags I use to organize Christmas and Spring are up in our attic, so no photos of those.
Can you believe I’m already thinking about doing a refresh of my home?
It even shocks me.
But I feel change already in the air.
For the good.
Something good is about to happen.
Not sure what.
But whatever it is, I’m all for it.
With that it is motivating to make changes.
I may not be able to change a lot of what’s going on in this world.
Or know how to even comprehend the things that bring fear and worry.
But I do know I can change my little world.
And that’s something to look forward to.
So, grab your glue guns, your hammer and nails and let’s make our home beautiful together.
My hope is to inspire you in the near future with more DIY ideas and decorating inspirations.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas.
But most of all, a Happy New Year.
The best is yet to come.
